The final levy rules for 2020/21 will guide how we'll calculate invoices issued in September 2020.
March 2020
Final monthly scores on Experian portal
Last monthly scores used for 2020/21 levy calculations
In April, Experian will issue the final monthly insolvency risk scores for the 20/21 levy year. The twelve monthly scores produced between April and March will be used to generate employer mean scores in July. After this, insolvency risk scores will be generated by Dun and Bradstreet.

Send scheme returns and contingent asset certificates to TPR
This helps make sure your levy is accurate
Scheme returns and contingent asset certificates need to be submitted on The Pensions Regulator (TPR) exchange system by 31 March 2020. If you're required to send hard copies, including Guarantor Strength Reports, they'll need to be delivered to us by 5pm on 1 April 2020.

Send ABC certificates and special category applications to us
This helps make sure your levy is accurate
Email your ABC certificates to us by midnight on 31 March 2020. We also need all special category employer applications, including confirmation of no changes, sent by e-mail before midnight on 31 March 2020

Mortgage exclusion and accounting standard change certificates to Experian
This helps make sure your levy is accurate
Email mortgage exclusion certificates, along with supporting evidence, to Experian by midnight on 31 March 2020. Accounting standard change certificates also need to be sent to Experian via email by midnight on 31 March 2020.
April 2019 to March 2020
Check your insolvency score
This helps make sure your scores are accurate
Check your insolvency score and submit data to Experian by the end of the month to impact your score for the following month, e.g. submit data by 31 Jan 2020 to impact your score for Feb 2020.

Submit deficit reduction contributions certificates to the TPR exchange by 5pm on 30 April 2020

Certify full block transfers with TPR
This helps inform your levy for 2020/21
Certify full block transfers on the TPR exchange system or – in limited circumstances – send them to us by 5pm on 30 June 2020.
July 2020
Mean scores published with Experian
These scores will be used to calculate your 20/21 levy invoice
In July 2020, Experian will publish your final mean score. We'll use this to calculate your levy for 20/21. In the meantime, make sure you check your score and the data Experian holds.
Autumn 2020
Invoicing starts
These invoices cover the 20/21 levy year
We'll start issuing the first invoices for the 20/21 levy year in autumn 2020. All invoices must be paid within 28 days of receipt.
