All our staff receive up to five days’ a year volunteering leave to support a charitable cause.
Our charity work
As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, we raise money and provide volunteering services within the local community.
Many of our activities support the cause of our charity partner. This year our chosen partner is Mind in Croydon.
We also regularly collect donations for urgent appeals which recently included the Grenfell Tower fire.
"The point of the CSR programme within the PPF is that what's good for the community is good for us all."
Oliver Morley, CEO of the Pension Protection Fund
Our programme of volunteering activities are extremely popular with employees at the PPF, as they allow everyone to actively give back to a variety of good causes in the Croydon area.
In the last year alone we’ve collectively spent 777 hours doing voluntary work locally, from getting our hands dirty at Croydon Ecology Centre to reading twice a week with year seven pupils at a local secondary school, St Mary’s High.
“Your team was absolutely fantastic! They worked their socks off. Please send them back again! They really were such lovely people and it was a pleasure to have them at Heathfield. Please tell your CEO that he has every reason to be proud of his staff. Thank you for sending them to us.”
Ms Chatfield, Warden and Chairman of The Ecology Centre
We’ve raised thousands of pounds through sports events, bake sales and quiz nights, to support local causes.
We also fundraise nationally. In recent years, we’ve raised money for Cancer research UK, Dementia UK, Mind, and the British Heart Foundation.
